I am a Level 2 NTS Instructor certified by USA Archery. I have shot traditional archery for the last 6 years, specifically horsebow. Traditional archery is deeply underrepresented in the modern landscape of archery. Nearly every culture on earth has developed some form of archery, and the cultural differences are fascinating and absolutely beautiful. 

Most traditional forms have the archer directly in contact with the arrow, which gives the archer a level of tactile connection unlike any other. With the modern competition scene moving to less and less archer input in favor of exacting precision, sometimes it is nice to step back to a simpler time – a time when money couldn’t buy archery success, but focus on feeling your equipment was commonplace.
